Hi donors! I am a kindergarten teacher working in a low-income school in a working-class neighborhood.

Kindergarten is a great year in school. We are just beginning our math skills and we love counting. In my classroom I do not have enough manipulatives for all of the students to practice counting.

We need a set of counting boxes to practice reading and recognizing numbers and to also practice one to one correspondence. This is a major skill needed in kindergarten. We love to have fun ways to count! We also need a set of early match-ups which will help us with a variety of skills including patterning, counting, shapes and addition. The counting match-ups can be used in a math center where the student will work individually or in small cooperative groups.

Please help us start off our educational careers with great math skills. We need your support to make sure every child masters the basics of mathematics!
