My students need basic supplies, including 15 flash drives, binders, post-it flags, pens, pencils, highlighters and markers.

We are an Early College high school on a college campus and many of our students come from families that cannot afford to buy flash drives, notebooks, paper and supplies for their students.

One of the students here suggested as a service project that we have some of these items here to donate to the students so that they are not at a disadvantage because of their background. We were so impressed with this because that is one of the reasons we are here; many of our students cannot afford college when they get out of high school and so we help them with that.

If the school can have a closet full of supplies that are geared towards helping our students all have an equal footing, then students will have the basic supplies they need to get through the day. They need various supplies, such as flash drives to save their papers, writing utensils, notebooks and binders, and other items to help them be prepared for class.

Our students have very charitable hearts and are always willing to share and help other students out. DonorsChoose has been a platform within our school to reinforce this virtue. They now want to use the rest of our points from DonorsChoose to help the ones who need it the most. I hope we are able to accomplish this!
