I teach 8th grade English and reading in a student-centered middle school. We try our best to foster the skills necessary to be successful in higher education and the business world.

I am trying to incorporate the presentation and technology skills that the modern workplace demands into my classroom. However, my classroom does not have adequate space to place a laptop, projector, podium and other items required for presentations. Oftentimes, we have to use desks to hold these items and prop the projector so it projects the images high enough for the rest of the class to see. We have an old cart, but even in the locked position, it moves around on the students.

Having a presentation stand in the classroom would allow my students to give the best presentations possible. All of the technologies they want to use in their presentations (LCD, laptop, SmartBoard) can be located in one spot. They won't have to worry about the set-up and can focus on the actual presentation.
