My students need a digital camera in order to capture images of their world. These images are used for classifying, discussion, and problem-solving. We will begin immediately taking pictures of rock and soil samples that are present in our neighborhood. We are also having a Mountain Man Measurement Rendezvous in 2 weeks, and the students would like to be able to take pictures to share with classmates and family members. I teach in a semi-rural school, and many students do not have access to technology.

My students are interested in science and technology, and enjoy sharing photographs of their world with classmates, they would also like to record class events. At this point, I am not able to personally purchase a digital camera for my classroom.

I would like a digital camera to be used in my classroom for taking pictures of the environment, and classroom events. These images are to be shared with students in my classroom in the form of a photo yearbook.

By funding a digital camera, you will be putting digital photography in the hands of students, who might not otherwise have opportunities to utilize technology on a regular basis. The students will then be able to take home images in the form of photo yearbook.
