Kindergarten Wigglebottoms Love to Listen!

My students need a read-along listening center.

I am a teacher to a group of active kindergarten students in a high poverty area. No matter what is going on, when it's story time, my students stop wiggling and listen! They love to read-along and listen to their favorite stories. Our class does a lot of small group instruction and center time. I would love to provide students more opportunities to listen to their favorite books.

To fulfill this need, I am requesting the Read-Along Listening Center from Lakeshore Learning. This center has an 8-station junction box with individual volume controls and 8 adjustable headphones. It also has easy-access for tapes, Cd's and books.

This listening center will benefit my students daily by helping improve fluency, comprehension and motivation for reading. It will also allow them to listen to their favorite stories over and over again!

Data shows that students who are read to each day will become better readers and will enjoy reading. By donating to our class you will be empowering young readers to develop a life long love of reading!
