Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach low income students who often do not have the opportunity to enjoy books at home.

Many of my students are bilingual students from low income homes. They do not have many books, or the opportunity to get books to read for pleasure.

If my students had a more inviting library that included bean bag chairs and a comfortable carpet to relax on they would be more inclined to go to the library. In a comfortable environment students would learn to enjoy books and enjoy reading.

With your help my students will be able to enjoy reading and develop a love of books.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
