My students need a few sets of flashcards and 65+ Spanish-translation children's books, including "Amelia Bedelia", "Junie B. Jones" and Dr. Seuss titles.

I teach bilingual kindergarten in a school that was English-only until this year. My students are all low-income and limited English proficient.

Because bilingual classrooms are new to our campus, we don't have the resources that a bilingual campus would have. We need more books in Spanish. Currently, we have to send for books in Spanish from another campus once a week because our students have exhausted the selection we have here.

We want to add the Spanish versions of books every child should read. We want to expose our students to beloved authors like Dr. Seuss, Beverly Cleary and David Shannon. Instilling a love of reading and strengthening native-language skills enables students to transition more easily into English.
