I am the Computer teacher for third and fourth grade students. My goal is to enrich students with technology enhanced projects.

I’m flipping over the uses of the Flip video camera in the classroom. Just recently, I took an online course and was required to complete video assignments using students from my class, visit websites that gave ideas on how to use the Flip in the classroom, and responded to educational articles featuring video camera use in the classroom. Using the video camera will enhance students’ learning because it is thought-provoking, demanding, dynamic, is close to real life, creative, requires whole-body involvement, gives responsibility to students.

Specifically, student will improve speaking and performance skills. They will work in small groups. Each group will be responsible for reading a book and filming a “video” book report. Student will create a storyboard to plan their video clips, evaluate and edit footage and publish the video on DVD.

My students will need two Flip Video cameras to engage in this learning experience. We would greatly appreciate your help in funding and supporting this video project.
