This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Hello! I am a 4th grade teacher in the inner-city. Our school, like so many others, is struggling with budget cuts and minimal supplies. Thank you for being such a generous person to consider this proposal!

My proposal is for white shirts. These shirts, under ordinary circumstances, look like an average T-shirt, nothing special. However, in my classroom, they would be transformed to magical lab shirts! My children LOVE science so much, and these lab shirts would increase science enthusiasm tenfold!

For many of my students, struggles with inner-city life as well as poverty, are a huge burden they carry everyday. Because of this, I really try to make learning magical for them and an experience of imagination and creativity.

These lab shirts would bring science to life for them, enabling to them to truly understand the work of a real scientist. At the same time, they can role-play,and be a child full of wonder. They deserve that so much. Another bonus? They are extra-big so as to fit everyone, can be washed year to year, and be used for many years to come. I am already imagining the possibilities these white shirts can bring! Thank you so much for reading this. How incredible that this website exists to help students, teachers, and schools. We are truly grateful.
