I am a one of two special education teachers at a charter school in Indiana. We provide services to almost 60 students in a kindergarten through 12th grade environment in a resource room setting. We provide services for students with emotional, cognitive, learning disabilities, ADHD, and ADD in all subject areas.

We have five students who seem to have ants in their pants all day long. They have trouble staying in their seats during instruction time. We have tried several other interventions, but these students still need more help staying in their seat so that they can learn.

We have used these seats before with great success. Movin’ Sit Cushions are inflatable dynamic air cushion which helps with the ants in the pants situation. BittyBottoms Seats are filled with PVC balls and also help students who are having trouble sitting still. We have found them to be particularly useful with students who are diagnosed with ADD/ADHD. The cushions and seats allow students to move while staying at their seat, focusing on the teacher’s instruction and completing their work. They are able to rock and fidget in their seat in comfort while continuing to learn. Many teachers have reported an amazing improvement in these children’s ability to focus and participate in class.

We are asking for 3 Movin’ Sit Cushions and 2 BittyBottoms Seats that our students will be able to utilize in the classroom to get the ants out of their pants.
