Jump into a different world through reading. I teach students with special needs from the age of 3 through the 1st grade. I have students with a variety of disabilities. My school has a large population of students who are on free or reduced lunches

I am a first year special education teacher and have very limited resources to use with my students to help them not only learn how to read but also to be interested in reading.

I need simple stories that the children can learn to read along with items from the story to help them relate to what is happening in the story. Having the literacy kits will help my students build confidence in their reading skills by completing the activities included in the kits, being able to read the story, or use the props to tell the story.

Your help will ensure that my students are able to build on their self confidence because they will have an opportunity to use the materials to improve or learn how to read, they will be able to use the props to help retell the story and learn how to answer questions and complete activities that are literature based.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
