Give us a chance to learn more in less time. I have a classroom of fun and crazy second graders. I am a new teacher coming into a second grade classroom mid-year.
Coming in as a teacher half way through the year has its challenges. We have tried to make as smooth of a transition as possible. What I have noticed is that I don't have all the tools necessary to teach efficiently. Almost all the rooms in our school have ELMOs for the classes to use. But our classroom does not have one. Nor do we have hope of receiving one unless I buy it out of my own funds.
I am looking for a document camera. It can be used, a cheaper model, or anything similar to an ELMO for our class to use. Having a document camera will raise my students' learning to that of the other classes in our school.
