Technology Connects Students in the Classroom

I teach an enthusiastic third grade class at a high needs school. My students are always excited when I incorporate new ways of teaching into the classroom.

Technology is such an important part of education today. The problem is that technology can get expensive. There are so many great resources that classrooms can use on-line in terms of educational videos that connect students to material learned in class. The problem is, every time we watch a five minute video clip, the whole class has to huddle around the computer in their chairs. This is unfortunate because we lose time and not all students can see the monitor well.

We need an averkey, which we could connect from the computer to the television. This would allow all the children in the room to see the television without even having to leave their seats. The positive impact that this simple technology would provide is endless. My students are so interested in video clips that connect them to what they have learned in class. Averkeys are much cheaper than projectors and work the same.

Your help will make it possible for my students to connect what they are learning in class to real world examples. We will save instructional time and all students will be completely involved in the process.
