Adapted Cooking for Amazing & Unique Students

My students need a pour shield, a Hamilton Beach Slow cooker, a Hamilton Beach Blender, 3 deluxe chop food choppers, Hamilton Beach Pop Top Electric Can Opener, Hamilton Beach Waffle Maker, and a Hamilton Beach 6 speed hand/stand mixer.

Hello. I teach the most wonderful students in the world. My students all have multiple disabilities and love going to school. They make each day a precious gift and I'm so fortunate to be their teacher. These students live in a poverty stricken area on top of all the mental and physical challenges they face daily. We all (including myself) take so much for granted (talking, walking, writing, etc.). These students take nothing for granted and really could use your help.

My students really want to learn some cooking skills. I have four students who are unable to speak and three that are also unable to walk. They so desperately want to be independent one day and hope that they can have additional tools to work on life skills. My students are so much more intelligent then what they are given credit for by some. These students are my heroes and I'll do whatever I can to help them make their dreams a reality.

My students really want some appliances to enable them to do some simple cooking in the room. They are extremely excited about this possible opportunity and really hope that someone is willing to fund this project for them. You will never know the impact that you can make on these students. Something as simple as learning to use a mixer, blender, can opener, etc. can be so empowering to someone that doesn't have those skills and is transitioning to another part of their life in a couple of year. If you can help at all, then please give to these students.

Your help will ensure that my students dreams of learning to cook will become a reality. I always assure them that people do care and there is still a lot of good in the world. Please help me show this to them by funding this project. Thanks for reviewing this project and best wishes for the future.
