"Hello! I am a first grade teacher in Florida. I have been teaching 2 years of Science and Social Studies to my first grade students. For the past 2 years that I have worked at my school I have slowly been accumulating resources for my students. Science is such an interesting subject for my students because it has everything to do with the world around them!
One of my many Science units is about Habitats. This is one of the few topics that we discuss that I cannot actually let the students experience. I cannot take my students to the forest, a desert, the rain forest, or to the ocean. Because of this, my students need assistance in seeing what makes up these habitats. I would like my students to have real examples of coral and cacti to observe. They are real scientists, even in the first grade, and to be a scientist they have to be able to observe what they are studying. We cannot go to the ocean or desert, but with the help of a donor, you can help my students experience a little part of these interesting habitats. My students need 2 coral sets and 2 cactus sets.
