I teach computer technology for grades kindergarten through fifth and I am also the supervisor for the morning news broadcast for the school. Our school is a math and science magnet. Technology plays a big role in today's society. Students are learning how to use technology before they can walk. Maybe not, but I want to give the students the opportunity to do some of the things that interest them.

The students for the morning news broadcast show great interest in reporting news and filming. They enjoy being in front of the camera and behind the scenes. They have great ideas and we want to put these ideas on video.

The students need a digital hand held camcorder to film news reports, school events, and documentaries. With this camera, they can film in any location with ease. This will be continuous project that will continue to build their creative skills as well as build up their confidence. It is not easy to speak in front of people. I've had some students come into the morning news show shy. After a couple of months you would have never known it was the same person. They become comfortable and fearless.

Your donation is more than just a piece of equipment. You are building future professionals. They will take these skills with them in whatever they choose to do later in life. Those that come behind them will have the same chances. Thank you.
