I teach Kindergarten and currently have 18 students. My students come from varying backgrounds, approximately 25% of the students are on free/reduced lunch. All in all we have approximately 150 Kindergarten students at my school.

My students are emergent readers and are starting to realize that their words can become real stories. They are fascinated with taking digital photos and seeing their photos come to life in Photostory (a digital story maker). Our library has a few digital cameras that can be checked out, but they must be shared among 40 teachers.

My students need a set of 6 digital cameras to use in the classroom on a daily basis. They will be able to use the cameras to document their experiences, to take pictures of new discoveries and to take pictures of special events.

Your help will allow my students the opportunity to use technology on a daily basis. They will be so excited to see their own pictures turn into real stories on the computer. They will be able to document and share discoveries with other students and with their parents through our classroom website.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
