My students need 13 gig bags to protect our guitars so that the guitars can be taken home and used rather than sit in school every night.

Guitars and kids are an easy sell - but they need time together. Our 5th & 6th grade guitar classes have a long record of taking guitars home and playing them, but our current cardboard cases are 10-20 years old and falling apart.

We're a high poverty area in Wisconsin, and many of these students can't afford a band instrument, so our guitar class is a no-cost alternative that gets music into their hands using one of the most affordable musical instruments.

We need new gig bags to protect our guitars as they travel with the students. A student who wants to spend a few hours with a guitar won't be able to do that in school - the guitars need to travel.

When money is tight, the arts have often been the first place to lose funds. In this case, keeping students from exploring music in a hands-on fashion. We need to keep the guitars in their hands, and your donation will make that possible.
