I teach fifth grade in a high need school. Our school is an elementary school serving students in grades three through five. In my classroom I teach all subjects. This proposal is focused on science.

Our students need to learn about why similar fossils are found in different continents and in different fossil layers. Our current materials do not address this topic at all, but you can help.

We need seven copies of the science unit titled "Mystery of the Far Flung Fossils." This would allow students to participate in a series of lessons that help students discover why the fossil record shows similar fossils in widely distributed locations on the Earth. They will also gain experience in collecting and organizing data.

You can help by funding this project. In these days of budget cuts and staff reductions, your help is greatly appreciated. Our students greatly appreciate your considering this project.
