Where does clothing come from? Why does it cost so much? What does quality mean? I teach Apparel Design at a high needs, rural, North Carolina high school.

Even though NC has been a textile center of the country in our past, but today, with outsourcing and a slowed economy, factories are closing their doors. Today, my students don't even understand where clothing comes from, why it costs what it does, or why their parents have lost their manufacturing jobs. SInce field trips are out of reach, these videos may answer some of their questions.

I need videos on fabric making and textile production to show my students where the clothes they wear are from. My students will gain a better understanding of textiles, consumer purchasing and decision making and quality as an investment.

By helping us, you give my students the skills to make better, more informed, consumer purchasing decisions.
