I teach in a high-need elementary school in North Carolina. It is a third grade classroom bursting with energy and creativity. I am always looking for new ways to spark their learning.

As an educator, I am constantly looking for new and fresh ideas that will energize my students! I stumbled across a Discovery Education website called United Streaming. It is an amazing collection of images and video clips that captivated my students. Unfortunately, the school I work at just doesn't have the resources available to be creative and use technology in the classroom. I was so excited they took an interest in learning, but knew I needed something more to make it even better!

I am asking for an LCD projector to display the various clips and images in an area large enough for the students to see clearly without having to huddle up around my computer monitor! I know that adding this projector will allow me to use technology and Discovery Education on a whole new level.

Your donation will enable my students to be able to display technology based projects, practice presenting orally, and in general, get fired up about learning. I have seen classrooms able to harness the power of putting projects up on a whiteboard, and displaying clips of animals and scientific topics that they normally wouldn't have had a chance to experience!
