Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach a class of 27 second grade readers. During our literacy block they have independent learning centers that they are assigned to. The groups of children rotate from one center to the next. It is often difficult to manage the learning center schedule...this pocket chart would certainly help my students to know which learning center they need to be at.

Right now, my students rotate to different literacy learning centers during our literacy block. Unfortunately, it has been difficult to find a system of management for this class. Using this pocket chart that is teacher / student friendly would definitely help our literacy block run smoothly.

My classroom has limited resources and so I think that this classroom management pocket chart would certainly help my students to clearly know what center they need to go to during their independent literacy time. I know that my low readers would benefit for having sight word take-home rings to practice at home.

I hope that this project can be funded, as I feel that it would benefit all of my students and me, as their teacher. Having this management tool would make our literacy block much more relaxing and positive.
