My students love exploring their world through technology. Computer animation is a great way to express creativity using exciting and innovative new media.

Kids love animation. Kids love computers. Show kids how to animate using computers and you have their interest and can introduce many art and design principals in a format that is relevant to today's youth. Here's the problem- I need a way for students to "draw" on the computer screen. Drawing with a mouse is clumsy and frustrating.

If we had three graphics tablets the students could create beautifully rendered drawings and animations using the animation program I have here at school. We would then be able to create short animated films and public service announcements. We would even make the donors a movie as our way of saying "Thank You!"

I want to thank you in advance for empowering my students with the gift of knowledge. Technology and Art have the power to bring magic into the lives of so many of our students. We live in an area that has the nation's NUMBER ONE unemployment rate. Our economy is going from bad to worse for many of the families in our community. Won't you be happy to know that you helped teach a student new skills that may help her reach her full and prosperous future potential?
