My students need 30 copies of No Fear Shakespeare: Romeo and Juliet to aid in their understanding of this well-known classic.

I am an English I teacher at a high school that serves almost 3,500 students. I teach my students for 100 minutes a day and am a part of the Freshmen Academy, a small learning community in this mega high school.

We will soon study Shakespeare's tragedy Romeo and Juliet. Many of my students have difficulty interpreting text, especially text written in Middle English. Many of them are reading slightly below grade level and will benefit from a text to text comparison of the play to modern language.

No Fear Shakespeare: Romeo and Juliet will provide my students with a resource that translates this famous play into modern day text so that my ninth graders can understand the plot, themes, and situations present.

Your help will ensure that my students are not only exposed to, but understand and appreciate the world's most famous star-crossed lovers, Romeo and Juliet. Thank you for your support and interest in our class project.
