Our class would greatly benefit from the Lakeshore Sift and Find Alphabet Shells, as well as a set of the Sand and Water Activity Tubs and 25 pounds of sand.

Remember that feeling you got when you sifted through the clean sand on a beautiful beach and found treasured sea shells?

You can help provide my kindergarten students with that same experience, with even greater perks! Several of my students already face obstacles, even though they are just beginning their educational journey. I teach an inclusion kindergarten class, which consists of ESL students and students with special needs. Some of them are beginning to learn the English language and most come from low-income situations. Their needs vary significantly, however the sensory experience these materials will provide will be beneficial to all. Funding of this project will provide them the rich experiences that several have begun school without.

The Lakeshore Sift and Find Alphabet Shells set, Sand and Water Activity Tubs, and sand would provide my students with the opportunity to learn and to practice important reading skills, such as letter recognition, alphabet order, and word building.

Your contribution to our project will help my students learn essential reading skills in a fun and meaningful way. The impact will be far reaching, as the materials will directly impact 17 students this year, and many more in years to come. Thank you for considering our project!
