This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My students love to watch math java applets from the Internet. I work in a public school. It is a renowned high school. As a committed teacher, I feel it is my duty to motivate students to think that math is fun by showing them good programs and presentations which connect math to real life. I teach freshmen, and many of them shun math. They have a mental block in learning math. Learning math can be made fun and interesting if we integrate technology. We have excellent interactive math materials on the web which would certainly enhance learning.

I have a heterogeneous group of students, and many of them are visual learners. They tend to be less restless and focus more when they watch a presentation. Technology caters to multisensory learning.

I need an LCD projector so that I can connect it to the computer and project the beauty of math to my algebra class. The math java applets would certainly motivate my students to develop an interest in algebra.

Math is abstract in nature. Usually students do not like to learn math, but I want them to develop a passion for the subject and introduce them to real life connections. Math is fun. It is interesting. Technology enhances math learning. Your support would benefit so many students. Maybe some of them would go for higher studies in math. The credit goes to you.
