I teach second grade at a rural charter school in California. I would like to improve my reading program for my low readers.

Can't read? Well, of course you can! However, some students can not- even at age 7. They are bored by now with struggling to read books. The words just don't make sense!

If I had some phonics and sight word- games, the students would get reading practice in disguise. They would be practicing their reading in the form of a non-threatening fun game. They will feel "special" because they get to play the games. It will be my little secret that they are actually learning and improving their reading through these games.
