Dreams of a Science Table

My students need a science lab table in our classroom so they can complete hands on labs without ruining their classroom desks.

My classroom has thirty three desks and no other work space to complete science labs. My school is located in a high-need community. I work with 6th grade students teaching them math and science.

With limited seating and work space in my classroom, it is hard to set up our science labs properly. Often, we are busy cleaning up spills, student desks, etc. because the desks are different sizes and it is not the safest science environment.

My students thrive with hands on learning and this table would be perfect to help develop their science skills and math skills. Due to the diversity of my student's needs I use small group instruction to help them meet their goals. It would also create a safer environment to work in when we have science labs and math groups.

Your help will ensure that my students are getting the most out of their science and math curriculum by being able to work together in small groups and have a secure place to work.
