My students need to experience success with reading! I teach second grade in a high-poverty public school in South Carolina.

I have struggling readers that need to experience success. These students love to have books read to them so that they can experience reading in a positive way.

My students need a "listening center" - a stereo CD/cassette player with multiple headphones. This way, struggling readers can enjoy having a book "read to them" whenever they wish.

Your help with this request will empower my students and allow them to experience success with reading. In turn, my struggling readers will gain confidence and be able to advance their reading skills. Students who can read well also do well in all other subject areas. This will help to provide them with the enrichment that they need to have a successful educational experience and become life long learners.
