Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My school is found in a low-income, multicultural suburban community. I teach 8th grade and coach the track team. We are a very small school and do not have the modern facilities that a larger school would have.

I coach the varsity track program. My school does not have a track, nor a fitness center that can support my team. We have not been able to acquire the materials we need to train our team. The team enrollment has increased by 10x in the past 5 years. My students do not feel that this program is "legitimate" since we don't have modern equipment.

We need several sets of medicine balls to help train our athletes. This will allow us to train during the winter months in a safe and efficient way. Currently we are limited in how we can train because of limited supplies.

This donation to our athletes can truly make a difference. The track team is a group that gives many of my students the feeling of family. We work hard, help to focus on academics and hopefully (if trained right) can provide college assistance. Your donation of this equipment will help me provide a safe, responsible way to train my athletes. Thank You for taking time to read this and consider helping.
