Give students the opportunity to visit many different ecosystems around the United States in one day! I teach Biology and Earth/Environmental sciences for ninth grade students. These kids are just starting their high school career and could use something really fun to get them motivated about science!

We all know that money runs low and can be really hard to find for science labs. As a teacher I spend a lot of money out of my own pocket, but cannot afford the bigger lab materials that can spark student's interest. Students are always interested in food chains and energy flow, and I would like to give them a chance to see how it works through investigating owl pellets.

With the owl pellet regional variation inquiry kit students will explore the many different environments of Barn Owls by analyzing pellets from four distinct regions (Northwest, Southwest, Northeast, and Southeast) of the United States. These activities help address the National Science Education Standards in Science. There are several fun-filled activities that will stimulate student interest with hands-on learning! Students will have the chance to learn just like scientists!

I love science and really want that same kind of love to develop in my students. Most of my students live in the city, where there is little wildlife, and this will be a first time experience for them in animal studies. You can be a part of something big in a students life. Help me inspire kids to look at the world around them and see the wonder that they are apart of!
