I teach 5th grade for a school in an urban school district. The school performs above the state on state testing due to motivated teachers like myself who want the best for our children.

In a technology save world my district is lacking in the department of "technology for the children". We hold children to high expectations in regards to research and exploring topics of interest, but we don't have the technology to support our desires. A new desktop computer would be a blessing to my classroom.

I am in need of one desktop computer for my children to have the resources available in the classroom to produce necessary research on topics that we study in 5th grade. This computer would be used for researching and processing information in relationship to our rigorous core curriculum. The grant will provide the necessary technology to take my children to the next level in learning for the 21st century.

Your generosity will provide my 5th graders with an opportunity to reach out to the technology world and open their eyes to what the future holds ahead of them. Technology is crucial for the 21st century classrooms.
