Listening to Literature, Learning for Life

My students need 7 Read-Along Kits with 4 books and 1 CD in each.

Help bring listening to literature to life! I teach third grade to an ESE inclusion classroom. I have special education students in my classroom, along with on-grade level, and high-achieving students.

One way my love of literature is shared with my students is through the use of a stationary listening center in my classroom. Currently our listening library is non-existent. We are limited to our school's EXTREMELY limited selection for check-out. This results in me having to check out multiple copies of books from the public library and matching them with the appropriate book on CD (while hoping it is also available for check out!). This is not only time-consuming, but it does not provide my students a choice in what literature they are enjoying.

These seven read-along kits include literature loved by generations of students. It will be a great start to our listening library and provide my eager students some choice in their listening center.

Your help will ensure that my students have access to a high-quality collection of literature with listening support. It will expose them to literature they can not access independently and provide them choice in their reading materials.
