I am a 4th grade teacher in a low-income community. Many students within my classroom have very little exposure to technology and the Internet. I have a high number of students who are second language learners.

Can you imagine not knowing about the Internet? What if you didn't have the resources to use technology? My students have very little exposure to technology. I have discovered that any time I can intertwine the Internet with my lesson, the students are much more engaged.

I have received a lap top from an extremely generous donor. I would love to be able to use that lap top to project the Internet onto the screen. Unfortunately we only have one computer lab in the building and each class only receives one 40 minute block a week. To be able to use the projector all the time in my classroom would be amazing!

I know that this is an expensive request. However, anything I can do to help engage my students makes the request worthwhile. I have discovered through my years of teaching that making learning fun will help everyone in the classroom! A resource like this will make my room an interactive, exciting, Internet based classroom!
