My students need 56 various Magic School Bus books and other titles to assist in learning Science and Social Studies concepts.

I am a third grade teacher in an urban school. My class is unique in that I will loop with my kids. This means that I will teach them for two years.

So often Science and Social Studies get pushed to the back burner. Many schools are teaching minimal amounts of these two very important subjects that promote higher level thinking. I do not agree with this and have vowed to teach using thematic units in order to integrate all of my subjects. Now all I need are resources!

I am asking for picture books and chapter books from the Magic School Bus series. My students love Mrs. Frizzle and her students. I love when my kids are reading these books and they find a new fact. They get so excited that they want to share it with everyone! This interest is important and I wish we had more of the books in our room. When they read these books they are improving their reading level, comprehension skills, exploring science, and social studies concepts. The world is at their fingertips when reading the Magic School Bus series.

Please help me to give my students the ability to think critically about Science and Social Studies. This could open the doors to endless possibilities.
