Help me empower my students to "direct" their own learning!
I teach instructional technology skills to K - 5th graders as well as their teachers at my forward-thinking elementary school with few resources.
In trying to prepare my students with 21st Century Literacy skills, I have discovered and led them to the world of collaboration and sharing on the Web. They are blogging and learning how to use wikis. Their next step is not only telling about their learning, but showing through video.
I need two flip video cameras to provide for checkout on school grounds to teachers and students. I will teach them how to direct and film Readers' Theatre performances, science experiments, poetry readings, math strategies demonstrated and whatever their imaginations dreams up! They will be able to use these easily uploaded videos in digital storytelling and to share on their class blogs with the world and each other!
PLEASE help me create the dynamic learning environment that all students deserve to nurture their sense of endless possibilities... This project will impact the over 1200 students at my school by giving them ALL access to these amazing tools!
