Special Need Students Experience Science W/ Light And Fun

I teach students with severe disabilities in a community based program. We are and urban school in Indiana with a very high rate of poverty.

The dream of any kid is to be one of the guys. To simply just be a kid, and my students are not any different. Unfortunately with their disabilities many of them are not able to attend regular science classes. They miss out on a lot of the fun of science simply because they cannot understand the material or attend the class.

This is where I need your help. Light and color are two of the coolest things to experiment with in science class. This is why i would like to have a set of cozy shades and fiberoptic strands. How cool is it to have the power to manipulate lights and colors n the palm of your hand. That is exactly what these resources would do.

Every kid should get to experience things such as science. with your help, we can bring a small piece of this to some very deserving students. There are few things in life more thrilling then seeing the pure excitement and sense of accomplishment on a child's face. Please consider making this happen. We can't do it without people like you. Thank you for taking an interest in a child's education and in their future.
