Students Need Bowling Set for Lifelong Activity Education..

My students need 3 sets of bowling pins and 4 easy grip bowling balls since we already have a set of bowling pins at the school.

I teach K-5 elementary physical education. My school is a charter school that is made up of mostly at risk kids who do not learn very well in a normal public school. Most of my students have a low income home life.

I want to give my students every opportunity to broaden their horizon on what lifelong sports and activities they can do outside of school. Bowling is a sport that no matter what age or ability level you are at you can always participate in throughout life. I have done units at other schools with kindergarten and 1st grade where they work on accuracy with the bowling pins and had an unlimited amount of foam balls. The kids loved this activity and even the teachers enjoyed it. We only have one bowling set and that is not enough for 25 kids in a classroom.

This will give my students the opportunity to learn the game of bowling. Very few of these students will ever go to a bowling alley because of their home situation or because lack of knowledge.

The new bowling sets will give my students new knowledge of a lifelong sport and the opportunity to get involved in something new. You will make it possible for urban students to learn and experience something new.
