I teach 10-12 grade science students, general through advanced placement in a rural setting.

The obstacle my classroom is facing is that when we take notes from my PowerPoint presentations I currently have to stand at my desk and change the slides manually. My students, many of whom need extra help, do not have the access to me that they should.

The resource I need is a piece of technology which will allow me to carry a portable mouse with me around the room and forward the slides; it also includes a pointer for pointing out important aspects of the slides. This technology will allow my students to interact with me while taking notes and be able to ask questions of me with me right there, next to them. It will also allow me to be sure all students are on task and interacting appropriately to the tasks at hand.

This technology will allow my students to be more interactive during note taking - which is one of their least favorite aspects of class. However, in science, note taking is a necessity - before the actual hands on activities can take place. Your help will ensure that I have the proper interaction with my students so as to empower them to learn the science that is so important in this society!
