Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

How can I double check my answers? I teach 24 fabulous third graders who have a love of math! We are so proud of last years third graders because 86 percent of them met or exceeded on AIMS in reading and math. That was FAR above the state and district average. Now these third graders have a high bar set for them!

Who ever thought calculators would be hard to find in a school? One classroom calculator just doesn't cut it. It's quite hard for one teacher to check those big answers and if they're correct on 24 students' work. The availability of calculators will allow students to self-check and fix their independent practice and practice technology skills at the same time.

The opportunity for my students to have their own calculator would be not only wonderful for them, but a life saver for myself!

Your will make the independence of my students a reality. My students will be able to see that good exists in the world and to pay it forward. Thank you for your kindess and consideration.
