I teach 3 World History classes to freshmen at a new schools project school in North Carolina. We are trying to reinvent the public high school.
We are really trying to incorporate technology across the curriculum in a number of exciting ways. The only problem is, our district and our school only has so much money to spend. I am asking for your help to put technology in the hands of kids. Helping students develop the kind of 21st century skills that they will need in the future is something that we want to do. Unfortunately, we don't have the money to boy all the things we need. You can help us!
We need as many flip video cameras as we can get. We want students making their own videos, editing those videos, and then using them for presentations to classmates, teachers, and parents! Wouldn't it be cool if a kid could present a video project they made to their parents?
If we get these cameras we are going to start off using them to make short videos about other countries and their histories. We will then post these videos on our class website. The students are excited but they need your help!
Your help will ensure that my students have technology resources that would otherwise be unavailable to them. Help us reinvent the high school by supplying our kids with technology and the skills to use it!
