Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach special education in a low-income neighborhood. My students do not get the opportunity to experience theater on their own. They are elementary school age.

My students are without the arts. Please help them become cultured. The theater is the best way for them to see a variety of shows that are NOT on TV.

If we could attend four shows of different genres, my students would have a well rounded education of theater. We hope to take them to a comedy show, a circus, a puppetry show and a dance show. They might not appreciate the dance show but could love the comedy show. There's something for everyone!

Your help will make it possible for my students to experience all that the NYC theater scene has to offer them. They live in the best city in the world for the arts but unfortunately don't leave their neighborhoods very often. They need this experience!
