JUGGLING to increase motivation, body awareness, self-esteem and TEST SCORES! Help our Elementary students find the benefits of a right-brain model in their left-brain schooldays

I teach 4th grade and have been introducing JUGGLING as an after school program. To my amazement students have flocked to my class and even give up their lunch to learn the skill. Left to buy my own juggling props, I have supplemented my assortment of cheap balls with DIY juggling beanbags that the kids make. To quote Juggling For Success on the academic benefits, "Juggling provides a series of sequential problems that require the student to calm down, pay attention, listen analytically, observe critically, focus on one activity at a time, plan a learning strategy, go step by step, stay on task, screen out distractions, manage their muscles to act appropriately and with the desired results using successive approximations, persevere through a series of minor failures (drops), analyze final results of the process, and incorporate the newly learned activities into a larger pattern of complex learned activities that can be demonstrated and taught to others. It is a limitless model which enhances creativity by offering intrinsic and extrinsic reinforcement with every gain in skill!

SportTime makes a great tactile ball that is perfect for a juggling class. These along with some Lacrosse Balls would complete a class set of props for the new year.
