Big learning in a small space! I am an English as a Second Language teacher in New York. I teach a wonderful group of students grades Kindergarten through fourth grade! My students come to me from different countries all over the world! It is very rewarding to help these students assimilate and feel welcome in their new home!

My school is located in a high-need community with the student population growing every year. As a result of the ever expanding student population, we have limited classroom space within the school building. My classroom is not a traditional classroom. It is a small area located in the hallway that has been created with partitions. Having such a small space, storage poses a real problem. My students love to research the classroom library for that "perfect" book and sit down to read independently. Due to the obstacles that we face with space, our classroom library is not very user friendly for the children. We don't have a secure and permanent location in the classroom to display and store our library. Library materials must be removed from display and locked in a file cabinet at the close of the day.

Reading is such an important part of language acquisition and language learning. It is especially important for my students who are learning English as a second language. The Fold and Roll Storage Unit with a lock would create an organized, neat and secure place for us to display and store our library of books.

Your assistance in providing us with the Fold and Roll Storage Unit, and the portability and security it will provide our little, open library, will ensure every student a daily opportunity to select a library book. You will make it possible for my students to look forward to coming to school each and everyday to browse the library for that "perfect" book.
