Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach the greatest group of students you will ever have the pleasure of meeting. My students are in a self contained Autism class. They have various ranges of levels and functioning. Due to the vast ranges various curriculum is needed to meet all the student's educational goals. I am hoping to get a curriculum donation in order to continue pushing my students to achieve their academic goals. The school is considered a low income. Money and other resources are difficult to achieve. Any donation will be greatly appreciated.
My Project
My students are the best group of kids you will ever meet. They are currently in a self contained Autism program. The students have various ranges of functioning and ability. It is very challenging to meet their individual reading needs and goals without having different forms of materials to utilize. The students range in ages from 14-18. They are at a critical age where academics are imperative in order for the students to become as independent as possible. All the students have an interest and love for reading. They are focusing on fine tuning their skills with hopes of increasing more mainstreaming minutes. These games, puzzles and reading materials will assist my students in reaching their literacy goals!
