Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Can you imagine traveling to ancient Rome, ancient Egypt and ancient Greece in on year? I teach 6th grade social studies and we study the ancient civilizations of Egypt, Rome and Greece. Our students are engaged, intelligent and come from high-need backgrounds.
Our students have shown great interest in our social studies curriculum and unfortunately our libraries lack enough quality resources to allow them to fully explore their interests.
By adding 26 new books to our library our students will be able to explore the civilizations of the World. We have several projects that the students work on that would be enhanced by allowing students to use resources in the classroom.
You (generous) donation will make it possible for our students to explore places that our students will most likely never experience first hand. Please know that the students will benefit more than you can ever imagine. You will make a difference in the lives of over 100 6th grade students!
