I teach fifth grade in an inclusion classroom. This means my co-teacher and I have about 26 students and 10 of them are special education.

We taught fourth grade last year and we are lucky to be moving to fifth grade with the same students. We introduced "Going Green" at the end of the year and the students became very interested in protecting our planet.

My co-teacher and I decided to have a "Green" theme this year. I will be teaching reading/language arts to two classes. All reading skills will be taught using books and articles about green issues. Unfortunately these types of books are not readily available.

I have spent the entire summer researching appropriate books and creating lesson plans. All we need now is the books. Your help will not only make a difference in the lives of these students but also in their families and everyone they know.
