Charts to Make Us Smart

My students need a variety charts from science, social studies, reading, and writing. They also need a chart stand to display the charts and storage boxes to keep them protected when stored.

A picture is worth a thousand words. A poster is worth its weight in knowledge as a teaching tool for students. I have taught first grade for eleven years and was a reading resource teacher last year. This year I will be teaching third grade with ESL inclusion.

In Florida, students prepare all year for the FCAT. Little time is given to teach science and social studies. Students need the opportunity to investigate and explore subjects that interest them.

I want to use learning charts to enhance my science and social studies.I will use them in whole group lessons, small discussion groups and in centers where they will choose charts to read about and research. I also think it will benefit ESL students to see images they are learning about and be able to interact with the posters.

You will make it possible for my students to learn science and social study lessons from a new perspective- where they interact and choose charts to learn about and inspire them to learn even more!
