This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

A typical day in my classroom is students, most exited to be there, ready and driven to reach their own personal fitness goals! Each student their own individual fitness challenge and needs. With the California State Fitness Test on the horizon, there is no time for sitting!

Our school is in Los Angeles, the City of Angels!

A very diverse campus, my students come from all walks of life, but most are from poor areas of L.A. But, when fit, they will realize that they can be as confident, and as successful as anyone! I teach the students that to be successful, you must have a sharp mind and body! And with hard work and an education, you are on the same level as anyone!

My Project

This Dell Inspiron laptop, with the Square Trade protection plan, will allow the students scores to be inputted immediately when they hit a new fitness plateau. Whether it's the mile run, strength, flexibility or BMI, the students will be able to chart their progress all along. By seeing the change on a graph, students will be motivated to reach for the next level. The canvas messenger bag will store the laptop.

This project will motivate students to make a positive change.

Students will strive to achieve, then be allowed to input and chart their changes from the track. Our goal is to have each student pass the state fitness test. We will try every possible way to help each kid succeed.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
