Jazz Up The Band

My upstart jazz band program needs a 5-piece drum set.

I teach band to students in grades 9-12. The school has a marching band and a concert band, but no jazz band currently.

The band program has suffered from teacher turn over. This unfortunate situation has caused the students to lose motivation and morale regarding the importance of music in their lives and their school.

I would like to start a jazz band as a supplemental ensemble to reward students for participating in either marching or concert band. To do this, we need a new drum set.

A drum set is a key ingredient to a jazz band and I know that this new equipment will get them excited about learning a new and different style of music.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
